The season finales of Hell’s Kitchen and MasterChef held up against the season premieres of The Voice and Monday Night Football.

The U.S. Open of Tennis Championship bumped CBS’s line-up forward an hour and a half on the East coast.

Programming Notes

The pilot of Last Resort is now available on Yahoo. Its TV debut is on Thursday, September 27, at 8pm, on ABC. (I like Andre Braugher, but I didn’t buy the premise.)

Marie Osmond has a daytime talk show debuting at noon Monday, October 1, on the Hallmark Channel. It will be preceded by a two-hour daily lifestyle show, Home & Family. The channel also bought reruns of Numb3rs.

CBS finally admitted it can’t start their primetime at 7pm in the East on the Sundays it airs an NFL doubleheader, officially listing everything a half hour later. A half hour more and they’ll have it right.

Variety: “ESPN and HBO have signed a multiyear pact to join forces on their respective boxing coverage. Deal includes sharing content for major pay-per-view events and coordinating marketing resources. ESPN will also televise HBO’s “24/7″ docuseries, which acts as a run-up to all of HBO’s biggest bouts.”

FX is rerunning the pilot of American Horror Story on Thursday morning at 3:30am. Season 2 premieres on Wednesday, October 17.
