Post-Script: September 16, 2012

In early 2011, I couldn’t find a pilot chart on Variety, so I made my own pilots page. I found out that it’s a lot of work, so I didn’t do a Pilots page for 2012.

These are the few handfuls of success stories from 2011.

CW (24 listed projects): Hart of Dixie
CBS (77): 2 Broke Girls, Person of Interest, and Unforgettable
FOX (57): New Girl and Touch
NBC (84): Whitney, Up All Night, Smash, Grimm, and Love in the Wild
ABC (86): Last Man Standing, Apartment 23, Suburgatory, Once Upon a Time, Revenge, and Scandal.

Total: 17 sophomores out of 328 projects I listed in 2011, a success rate of 5%.
